I designed and animated this concept title sequence for the upcoming film “John Wick Parabellum.” In the film, the protagonist has a hit on his head and is left with only an hour to escape New York City. To convey this in the treatment of the title, I referenced forward movement by skewing the letterforms, and applied gritty texture to reference the underground environment of New York. In the animation, The title Glitches into frame to cause the viewer to feel uneasy and anxious. The title then quickly fades into dust, to symbolize the fleeting nature of John Wick's current predicament.
