OTOPIA is the re-creation of change of natural light, combining artificial technology and nature aesthetics, and ultimately bring a fresh and unique view of looking at holidays and a real sense of relaxation and enjoyment of holiday feeling in the limited time and space.
“Light and colour are inextricably linked. Light is colour, colour as well as light.” ( Lightopia, 2013) Since several colours cannot imply the fantastic that is light, abundant and colourful light colour patterns were used to represent my brand concept visually. The brand colour pattern is filled with sun-washed feelings, to communicate the beautiful and warm sunlight with the relaxing beach holiday. Because there are no fixed colours, the consistency lies in applying the same filter, the same size, the same pattern across the brand visual platforms. It creates cohesion, even with different fantasy colours and still slightly blurred, it can still tell the same colour story. The brand uses harmonious colour to encompass people, to show the ambient sunlight.
“Light renders things visible, is never static, is always in flux.”( Lightopia, 2013) The brand follows the truth that light always fluxes and uses light colour patterns applied in visual motion, at the same time, combines with natural sounds and music to create the whole brand feeling. To better show the relaxing holiday feeling, all moving motions are all set as appearing, changing and disappearing slowly and gently.
The brand movie was made to tell the brand story straightforward and emotionally. The whole brand story is when you walk into the busy, crowded and noisy streets of a city, we hope you can own a moment of peace, slow down your pace, and stop,get real relaxation for yourself. When you are occasionally stunned by the beauty of fantastic sunlight in the sky, maybe you could enjoy the sunshine by using an alternative method.
