• This project was an attempt to merge 2d and 3d animation techniques into a story about a lonely woman who has supernatural controls over her origami creations.  We wanted the piece to have a cohesive feel, so the 3d was rendered with mostly flat shading. I was responsible for modeling, texturing, lighting and animating the 3d elements. I also helped with fills for the 2d animation and compositing everything together.
  • This is an example of how the 3d objects were animated to match the 2d motion. An AVI file was played on a plane that was flush with the camera. Then, through a series of dummies, the objects were animated along with the AVI. The objects were then rendered separately and composited in Photoshop.
