LISTERINE PODS
Packaging - Redesign (concept)

What is it?
Mouthwash with functional container, hygienic, with individual dose to be shared among several.
What we do?
Redesign of structural and graphic packaging of an existing healthcare product with special emphasis on innovation.
Problems of the actual packaging
Unhygienic: In many cases the product is shared among several members of the family, making use of the same lid, which can cause the spread of germs.
Not very functional: You need to use the lid, in some cases an extra glass. The amount of rinse you should use is approximate and not the exact amount to have better results.
Our creative solution
To develop a practical package with individual doses, the solution was to use "biodegradable liquid capsules" also called PODS. They are small soft packs or single-dose bags whose wrapping is a film made of gelled brown algae and calcium chloride. The capsule is edible, water-soluble and biodegradable. This means that at the time of use, the membrane will disintegrate in the mouth and allow the optimal amount of fluid to be emptied and rinsed for 30 seconds.
The packaging is a cylinder with a dispensing system that allows the mouth rinse to remain free of bacteria that can contaminate it.
The operation consists of pressing the inner tube that will lower until it coincides with the hole, through which the POD will automatically exit. Without the user having to touch the other PODS.

We create a
Single-dose water-soluble capsules that will revolutionize the way you use mouthwash.
