Archipelagos is a non-profit organisation aiming to create jobs for people with psychosocial problems, migrants/refugees and other socially vulnerable people. In order to fulfil its goal, it recently opened a second hand shop to create more job opportunities for socially vulnerable individuals. To promote the second hand shop and attract more clients and items' donations, an event was organised, where famous individuals and anyone else that wants were invited to donate an item and share a personal story connected with the item donated. I designed the posters and the invitations for the event. The concept behind the design is the use of handwriting in combination with close-up pictures from various items. In this way the personal character the event had was expressed, by showing an intimacy with the objects and connecting them with the personal touch of handwritten type. In addition, by creating various alternatives the variety of items sold in and collected by the shop was aimed to be shown.
