This spread is influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright’s concept of organic architecture, allowing the environment to dictate design. The deconstructed shapes of Falling Water dictate the flow of text. To communicate the organic quality of Wright’s architecture, I used a muted color scheme and abstract illustrations. This piece received an Honorable Mention in the Society of Publication Designers 2017 Student Competition.
