The Design Process is a poster for Karl Aspelund's book signing event that uses elements from both Harmony and Contrast. The design and composition of the poster specifically focuses on Flatness and Depth.

I had to take a lot of different and new approaches from photography to painting to fully understand and practice harmony and contrast. After creating multiple studies, I learned that ironically harmony and contrast works together as one and requires each other to create a balanced design. Inspired by this concept, I incorporated examples from both of my harmony and contrast studies and digitalized them in my poster designs. I experimented with both photography and vectors for my drafts, and came up with my final design. I incorporated vibrant colors to emphasize the contrast and applied a very strong texture to enhance the coherence, thus the harmony of the overall design.
