A leave behind is an object given to the interviewer after an interview with your dream company that presents your information to the potential employer in a creative way. These are hand-cut metal coffee coasters with a corked bottom. The coasters are an exploration in beginning to incorporate my graphic design and my sculpture practices.

This meticulously designed, metal box was built with the intention of being destroyed. When the handle is turned, it is meant to crush itself with the inner mechanism. I am interested in the concept of a purposefully temporary object and the artifact left behind that shows the history of the piece in itself. Although this piece did not crush itself in the performance, what we cannot control in work only brings out the meaning more.
