Part of my Honours project Wunderkammer: Generative Design. Datatoms were inspired by the research and visual study of Diatoms - simple celled organisms. Utilising Processing to develop an interactive system that could curate users twitter data to generate artificial structures - 'organisms' - with unique properties derived from the data provided. The series was also developed into physical etchings as well as exhibited in an interactive format.
