David Allanby, middle aged, English and teacher at a prestigious private school, is in the ghetto to score some weed from Sharky. The spot is new as one of the posse was recently gunned down and people are agitated. David discovers he has mistakenly been calling the murdered man 'Smallman'. The deal goes down and Sharkey suggests smoking a joint at his house. There he gives a vivid account of the hit and identifies the killer as wearing a thunder and lightning tattoo on his left hand.
