At Candy Coated you can buy different candies from all over the world. To illustrate this a system of hand drawn patterns was created consisting of animals that represent each of the seven continents. In addition to designating an animal for each continent, a color was paired with each pattern to make the candy’s place of origin more instantly recognizable to the consumer. When an element was applied towards the branding of the store as a whole, the pattern with all of the animals together is used, representative of the global scale of Candy Coated. To avoid using too much color and making the brand appear childish, the palate was limited to black and white with a splash of color.
