Red Seven is a niche card game created by Carl Chudyk, Chris Cieslik, and Alanna Cervenak. It was published by Asmadi Games, Bureau De Juegos, Lucrum Games. The game of Red Seven Poker is played with a 49-card deck with seven suits (the seven colors of the rainbow) and seven numbers.
This is the revised design for the playing card. I used illustrations to replace the simple and boring numbers in the center. Also, I chose seven colors in different tint and tone from light to dark accomplished with numbers from one to seven. Also, I add some description on two sides so that people who cannot distinguish between colors still can enjoy the game.

Research-

My original plan of the card design is about the color name which is not familiar by people. However, I found it is not interesting enough when I was doing the research. I still want to stick to “color” so I showed my difficult to my classmate during the discussion time on class. One of them recommends this game to me. In order to get the accurate acknowledge about this game card. I brought it from Amazon. When I opened the box, I got some colorful cards in it. After reading the rule of this game. I invited my roommate to experience it. The rule is like the game called UNO but more interesting than it.

One of the reasons Red7 makes such a great filler game is that the rules are so easy to learn. You can explain them in about 2 minutes and most people will understand right away. It’s real charm lies in its simplicity and in the clever use of its cards. Filler games should be able to get to the table quickly and easily.

Components:
49 cards, numbered 1 to 7 in seven colors
4 icon/color reference guide cards
2 turn option guide cards
1 canvas card
2.5 x 3.5 in

Description:

The rule for winning at Red is simple: Have the best card! But will you still be playing the same game when your turn ends? If you’re not winning by the current game’s rule at the end of your turn, you’re out, and the last person standing wins the round.
The deck consists of 49 cards numbered 1-7, in each of the seven rainbow colors. A 7 is always higher than a 6, but a Red 6 is higher than an Orange 6, and so on down the color spectrum (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet). When comparing two cards, compare value first, then color.

How to play:
Play a card to your palette, the canvas or to both.
1. Play a card from your hand to your palette (the face-up cards in front of you).
2. Play a card from your hand to the canvas, changing the win condition. The   canvas is  shared by all players and there can only be 1 win condition at a time.
3. Play a card to your palette and the canvas.
4. Do nothing/pass. You lose.

Illustration:
I have many imaginations about what the number from 0 to 9 looks like when I was a young child. Almost every idea came to my mind is from nature. Why can’t I put the little word in each number? I asked myself so that I created those numbers by putting creatures, plants, and architectures in it. They all like a small world which people can live in.

Thanks for watching!
