For my Senior Thesis in 2018 leading up to artwork I've created in 2019, I have focused on what it means to be a woman. Particularly, a woman of color. Instead of making it blatantly race-motivated, I decided to take the route of the many fantasy worlds we are able to put ourselves in as a form of escapism. The work deals with the emotions and detachment of being an outsider.
