he Joker is the most powerful card in the suit. You can pair him up with any set, and rest assured – you will always win the game.

 

This power now seems to have gone to his head - he has taken over all the card queens. The queen of Spades is brutally beheaded, the Clover queen has a knife wedged in her slender throat. The queen of Diamonds is hung mercilessly, and king of Hearts, poisoned. As a final act, the joker's hand-puppet kills the queen of Hearts (overall, drawing inspiration from a terrible heart-ache in my distant past).

 

The dead royals witness the scene, woefully - helplessly.
