Iguana Rum, Senior Thesis

Senior Thesis: Iguana Rum
Senior thesis, I decided to brand my own rum label. After many variations and names, with assistance from classmates, I chose Iguana based on a picture I took from my visit to Puerto Rico. Since the picture was taken in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico I decided to make my brand come from Puerto Rico, which is known being the home of popular brands like Bacardi and Don Q. After picking a bottle shape and vectorizing the iguana, it was time to design and layout everything else. From the bottle to a box and the wall graphics I spent months, along with my classmates who where also working on their thesis, designing and running my ideas through everyone else. Every detail was though out from the type of cap (cork stopper) to positioning the lights onto thew wall, but by the end I had a final product which i could be proud of.
My inspiration... The picture I took while I was at one of the forts in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico
Setup completed
A completed bottle with one of the LED light pads lit underneath
Final bottle design V_12
Final box design on the left and all the pieces to it on the right. In order to make this I cut out of vinyl the right and applied it to a 1/4" sheet of black pvc. I cut the pieces out and glued them together. In order to make slots for the clear plastic to slide a lifted the saw blade to about 1/8".
Sign design not including the scale pattern mounted to the back
