Fancy Champs and the Bad Rhabby

Our beautiful 3 year old son Flynn was diagnosed with rare and aggressive form of cancer called Orbital Rhabdomyosarcoma at Christmas. He has been receiving chemotherapy since January.

Before this treatment started, we looked for books to explain to him and his little sister Casey what was happening. However, it quickly became apparent that there was very little available for this age group. There was certainly nothing that included dinosaurs or fancy hats, two of their very important interests.

So we made one!
(It says 'Silly Mommy' because that's my official title, it's what he calls me all the time. I have no idea why.)
The story 'Fancy Champs and the Bad Rhabby' (Flynn's name idea) features a team of three behatted dinosaurs who use their powers to send the 'Bad Rhabby' Rhabdomyosarcoma on it's way.
My favourite dinosaur is probably Dr Rex, who uses a ray gun to blast the Rhabby. ZAP!*

We had the books printed to coincide with World Book Day last week and gave them wrapped with their own fancy hats and eyewear. We had a very fun morning!
UPDATE: Flynn successfully underwent treatment and he is now cancer-free. We'd like to send a huge thank you to all who have helped us and wished us well along the way, we couldn't have done it without you.
