Scroll: Winter Survival Guide

Despite Scroll discontinuing weekly print papers in Fall 2018, it still publishes its "freshman edition" paper at the beginning of the semester. While it used to be a standard 20 page paper, it's now a 40 page "semester survival guide" dedicated to providing students information about everything on campus. I directed the entire production and design of the paper as Managing Editor, and created Scroll's first "Winter Semester Survival Guide".
Above: front and back covers. While the front cover stayed pretty similar to Scroll's papers of the previous semester, the back cover changed to advertise Scroll's online presence, rather than be a weekly calendar as it was before. I created the add to show Scroll's app and emphasize its new focus on campus news.
Above: Campus Tour. The Campus Tour section introduces students to each building on campus, as well as useful resources found on campus.
Above: Colleges. The Colleges section informs students about each of the 6 colleges offered at BYU-I, including advice from teachers and alumni, major options, clubs and societies, and other important things to know regarding the college.
Above: Calendar. The Calendar section offers a look at important things occuring throughout the semester. It includes academic deadlines, Center Stage performances, weekly devotional speakers, and other events that occur weekly on campus.
Above: Student Lifestyle. The Student Lifestyle section includes articles that give students a taste of life at BYU-I. It has informative articles about the website or popular study spots, and more fun articles like "How to be a terrible roommate". At the end of the paper is a Marketplace page featuring additional advertisements from local businesses and Scroll's full staff for the semester.
