This project was to design a logo for a band that my friend was starting in Orlando dubbed, "The Graveyards". We wanted to stray away from a more spooky and haunting theme that the name could imply, so we began to look back at WPA posters from the 1930's.
We then selected the portrait of the mother in the syphilis poster and worked from there.
We then continued to flip between colors and font variations, eventually deciding on a green tone. We also considered other accessories that the lady could have adorned on her head, and left it at a simple headband and a teardrop.
