Brief
This project centred around creating a self-referential autobiography in the form of a book. The project deliverables included an autobiographical story, an alphabet of found projects (photographic set), a cover layout, 1-2 double page chapter spreads, visual strategy and both digital and a physical mockup of the final book.
Rationale
The narrative of this story is based on key events in my life, that forced me to consider the ethics and morals, by which we choose to live our lives, how much our choices impact others and the world around us and how easily we abuse them for personal gain. Written from Tara’s perspective, this autobiography explores a variety of situations in her life after gaining the ability to alter reality, that force her to confront the consequences of her no-longer innocent thoughts and fantasies. She must wrestle with the seductive lure of power, the issues of right and wrong and the daunting acceptance of responsibility.
