The Book Thief
As a part of my motion graphics class at MICA, the project was to create a title sequence for a book. I chose "The Book Thief" by Marcus Zusak, one of my all time favourites. The Book Thief is a story of a little girl, who amidst the ghastly Swastik marches and book burnings, struggles to learn to read and write, and how in the end, her words save her when her entire street is blown away. Within a devastating storm that was Nazism, another world exists within the book, an innocent, beautiful world of words. I've tried to show these two parallel worlds coexist through this title sequence.
