Along the Nile
December 2016, I decided to venture out with a friend and do something different for New Years. Our plan was to travel by felucca (small sailboat) along the Nile. We arranged with a sailor, put up our sail and drifted with the force of the wind. We had no end destination planned, we just knew we had to be back for our flight in 4 days.
I was mesmerized by the beauty of the Nile and the way of life there. Everything I saw inspired me. Along the journey I was compelled to pull out my phone and started documenting what caught my eye and touched my heart. This trip inspired me to pursue photography. It made me realize how much I love to capture beautiful moments, and that beauty is all around us, you just have to look with an open mind and heart.
