"Spreading Awareness Through Statistics"
This data visualization chart of breast cancer awareness, and cannabis in legal market was made for simplifying numbers through images. Because it can be difficult to understand statistics by just looking at numbers, graphs and vector images are combined to easily understand the information trying to be spread. The purpose for creating these can also bring awareness of health for women to check themselves more often, and the modern day issues on medicinal cannabis in the legal market.
In the first poster, it mainly focuses on racial disparities in breast cancer which is an important factor to visualize, because many cases of breast cancer go unchecked in people of color, compared to caucasian women.
The second poster shows how legal cannabis sales have used their taxes to benefit the cities they're from, and the anticipated growth of the market. It includes a business and medicinal aspect by showing how many states are voting to legalize it on a federal level.
