The 1918 Influenza Pandemic infected 500 million people world wide and led to the deaths of 50 to 100 million people. The resulting loss represented 3 to 5 percent of the planet's population and it remains one of the deadliest natural disasters in human history.
This logo was created to commemorate the 100 year anniversary and to raise public awareness and preparedness for possible future pandemic outbreaks.
