Optima Typo–poster

Optima, founded by Hermann Zapf is optimum for reminiscence.

Due to the elegance of flared strokes, cupped terminals, high contrast and nearly vertical stress of Optima, this typeface is optimum for reminiscence of noble souls of those sacrificed for and remained unaccounted for in the Vietnam War.

Apart from the Optima typeface itself, there are no absolute straight lines in this poster, which make this poster less geometric and more humanistic. The memorial in this poster is combined by “E” and “7” of Optima typefaces with their characteristics represented in this poster.

The poem integrated both symbols and texts, with diamond representing deaths and “+” representing missing people.
