Kombucha Klub Monthly Subscription Packaging Design
The Kombucha Klub is a monthly subscription service that sends customers 4 unique bottles of kombucha from a different kombucha business once a month. This month customers will receive kombucha from a brewery called “Booch”. Booch has created a unique concept for their newest brew blends, the 7 Deadly, a series of 7 blends of kombucha that revolve around concepts connected to the 7 Deadly Sins. In my preliminary research, I found that each of the 7 Deadly Sins were connected to their own animals and colors.

I wanted to combine my illustrations of the ingredients with vintage photography and a handmade lettering style to create a playful unique and interactive design. I decided to have the kombucha in a glass reusable bottle to target my market of avid kombucha drinkers. The drinkers will be able to take the bottle to their local kombucha bar to restock and therefore further advertising for “booch” to other kombucha drinkers beyond people just using the subscription. Each animal is completing the action of their sin in their photo. For example, the frog is wearing a crown for greed or the pig’s head is stuck in a fed bucket for gluttony. The information cards tell the personality of each animal in the photo and a description of the kombucha you’d be drinking. The brand of the Kombucha Klub itself is represented as the shape of the “K”. The 2 bottles fit into the negative space of the arms of the K and the other 2 fit into the stem with windows to view them from the back.

I designed, laser-cut and hand-made the box, it's graphics as well as the labels for the each individual bottle.
