AHS Season 8 features a post-apocalyptic storyline revolving around Satan himself. We wanted the on-air promo package to provide a visual counterpoint to breathe new life into classic End-of-the-World imagery. Sourcing antique illustrations by Gustave Doré and Albrecht Dürer, we depicted the epic struggle between the Devil and all of mankind. The scenes were assembled in 2D and then modeled, lit, and animated in 3D. The toolkit included a slew of titlecards, viewer advisories, ID’s, and a custom bone typeface.
