A TAILOR’S MOVING CASTLE

The tailor ladies are not only the historical significance in Taiwan, but also a common memories of everyone.

I want to create an orderly and convenient working environment through integrating the storage of appliances, and improve not only the efficiency but also their professional image of tailors.

巷弄間修改衣服店、大稻埕永樂市場裡的裁縫阿姨們是台灣人的共同回憶，但大家對他們的印象不外乎是擁擠的空間和雜亂的工作檯面，因此我想透過用具、零件的整合收納，打造一個更整齊方便的工作環境，不僅提高工作效率也提升他們的專業職人形象。

Storage above the machine

I found that the tailors tend to put objects on the sewing machine and set notes on it with a magnet, so I decided to using the space above the machine, combined with magnetic to do more effective storage.

在訪談和觀察中發現他們會隨手把物品放置到車機上，或用磁鐵將紙條吸附在車機上方便一邊看圖一邊工作，所以決定藉由他們這個習慣並結合磁力，將機台上方空間做更有效的收納。

Castle on the hill

This is a landscape scenery stretch out from the sewing machine. Like a castle on the hill, the rounded geometry blocks a lively landscape.

從桌面到車機、再向上延伸出來的風景。像是位在高處的城堡，圓潤的幾何塊體堆疊出活潑的地景。

The Bridge For Shuttles. Stored them with magnetic force reduces the storage area of the desk, and they can put a group of shuttles which needed on the top of the sewing machine while working.

拱橋：收納梭子。一般修改衣服店至少有四五十個裝有各式顏色線的梭子，磁力吸附減少了收納佔用桌面的面積，也方便工作時將要用的一組梭子拿到眼前的車機上方。

The Cube For needles. Adsorbed on the box by magnetic force, and the downward concave cone prevents our hands from being stabbed when taking out the needles, and classify different needles with four surfaces.

針盒：收針。鐵製的針靠磁力吸附在盒子上，向下凹的錐形避免拿取時被針戳受傷，可利用四個面分類不同的針。
