The Starry Night

"The Starry Night"
Typeface Design / Typography

This is a typographic poster series inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's work, "The Starry Night."  It's not a direct picture of the night sky, unlike other works by Gogh. Instead, he painted it thinking about the night sky he saw. Gogh thought the stars were twinkling and having 'a feast of light.' Obviously, the stars are shining in that position during the day, but people don't notice the feast of light.

I think hope is the same thing, and there's always a little hope at the moment when you think it can't be harder. It's just hard to notice. The longer you look at the sky, the more stars there are. If you live your life and keep your hopes alive, the stars will never stop the feast of light for you.
