The term SOMA comes from the Greek word soma and means “body”.  In Philosophy the term “body” again suggests the common language meaning, where body refers to every being that extends in space and can be perceived by the senses.  Body can be broken down into: man, woman and child, therefore it can mean humanity in its entirety and therefore “MAN”.
The cosmic intellect or NOUS (Nùs), which can be translated by Thought or Intellect, is an expression introduced by the Greek philosopher Anaxagoras to refer to the primordial driving force of the universe.  It steps in to create order out of the primordial chaos and is responsible for the creation and differentiation of the elements.
In the case of Victor Frankl intellect (therefore nous) means SPIRIT, a different element to matter

The expression “corporate identity” refers to the image a company possesses or tries to achieve with the public in order to stand out among its competitors.
It represents the most profound and spiritual brand form.  Corporate identity provides a definition of the “core” or nucleus (core identity) of the company which, being generated by its founders’ values, creates the company vision and mission.

Experience and values
The Somanous philosophy is based on these two main characteristics.
Experience includes knowledge obtained by involvement gathered over time.  Values are the foundations upon which the life of every single individual develops.
Indecision, habit and the inability to find alternatives are some of the obstacles that can be found in a person’s development these days.
The message that Somanous wants to transmit is that it is a pharmaceutical company based on values and experience which our society is slowly losing nowadays to make way for the frenzy and similarity of individuals.  Somanous instead wants to bring out the “diversity” in each of us and make us rediscover the past values that are now slipping away. This is where the advertising page headline comes from, linking elements of when we were children: milk, our spelling book and the alphabet with their features that take on significance for the company: good, educational and elementary. They use a metonym focusing on the substitution of the image of the object with another representation whose relationship is a strict logical bond.  A full layout occupying the entire live space is used for the page structure. The elements are in strategic points, creating a reading framework for the reader, from the visual to the logo and moving up to the headline.
