Viva La Evolution

For this project we where given the task of rebranding the Science Musuem in London to appeal to a teenage market and encourage them to take an interest in the exhibits.

I took the approach of portraying famous scientists and the key figures responisble for what our knowledge is now based on as revolutionaries of their generation. The people who where willing to question what was once accepted as fact, stand up to religion, the cynics and the society adverse to change, and ask 'what if?' and 'what is the human mind truly capable of'.

My work was clearly inspired by the cult image of Che Guevara, Jim Fitzpatricks stylised  poster, which as become an image associated with rebellion and revolution, particularly amoungst youth generations. This, along with banksyesque images created to depict and reinvent these revolutionary figures as rebels with a cause, fighting for social cause, will hopefully catch the attention of teenagers, aswell as think about how past figures have shaped every aspect of our lives.
