When life gives you lemons, make art is a commissioned kitchen art piece. This illustration is a non-repeating pattern of organic and geometric lemon drawings complete with color as well as negative space aspects.
It started off with a rough HB sketch which I then lined and colored using mono line and artistic digital art brushes in procreate for iPad.
I illustrated each element of the pattern to be duplicated and arranged for the larger piece.

In developing to the final piece I chose to create fine line drawings of the lemon and leaf elements to place over and under the previous arrangement. This created the dynamism that I set out for this piece.
