This project is an interpretation of the song “A Lovely Night” from the movie, “La La Land.” After extracting all of the lyrics as text, I analyzed the rhythm and sequence, and sketched out a vertical composition based off of my own impressions of the song. The vertical movement, size, and density were intentionally designed to visually represent my analysis and interpretation of the lyrics. I combined the modular structure, symbol, imagery, and text in to a coded map of HTML and CSS to create the design.
