Anatomical Studies and Drawings I

Anatomical sketches I
These are different studies of human anatomy I made during these days, the medical illustration is very interesting and I would like to venture into this professional field someday. In this drawing I focused in the study of the womb and seeing now, it looks like the cocoon of a butterfly, it's really beautiful.
My reference for make these drawings was Sir and Lord William Hunter from one of his publications in 1774 called "Human Gravid Uterus" and Leonardo Da Vinci, sketches and study of the womb in 1511.

Some #skull studies. This time I've taken as reference a great Dutch physician and anatomist called Govert Bidloo and his anatomical atlas "Anatomist Hvmani Corporis" published in 1685, It shows many important analyzes of the anatomy but the most impressive for me was the study of a fingerprint that I'll draw next time for try the texture. Well, he was the first to describe the papillary ridges in the skin, an important event for forensic identification in the future.
