Grand Canyon

In the Grand Canyon National Park lies the largest part of the Grand Canyon [founded ˈkænjən], a steep, approximately 450 kilometer long canyon in the north of the US state of Arizona, which was dug over millions of years by the Colorado River into the rock of the Colorado Plateau.
The Canyon is one of the great natural wonders on earth and is visited by around five million people every year. The Grand Canyon National Park has been a World Heritage Site in the United States of America since 1979.
