Lithuania, late '17

Lithuanian trip was the only one marked with duties — my friend and I were coming to the conference in European Humanities University. The most Soviet Baltic country, however, has a lot more to offer.

We visited Vilnius and Kaunas (second largest city in the country). We shall begin with the latter: you may see modern cheap trains and fine signs beside Kaunas Zoo (Lietuvos Zoologijos Sodas). Lithuanian language is pure hell.

Also, Roman-Byzantine Orthodox Cathedral may be seen — this is very reminiscent with the Saint-Petersburg architecture. No wonder, though: the church was designed by K. Lymarenko who was also the constructor of Saint-Petersburg.
Back to the Vilnius suburbs. There, one may feel like in any Russian rural town: Khrushchevkas, Orthodox churches and sorrowful folks. Eternal mood.
Hey, buddy, whatcha doin' out here?
Oh, and did I tell you the Lithuanian language is infernal?
The country remembers Soviet tanks in 1991.
City centre looks like typical Eastern Europe. Narrow walkways, paved roads and, again, churches and Roman catholic churches.
One day we got confused with directions and took a wrong path. Riding southbound instead of hitting the North has its advantages: for instance, Pushkin's museum and a park.
Uncategorisable stuff that I liked rests here: dogs, animal-shaped chicken nuggets, and a bit of jazz for your soul.

A trip to Lithuania with my friend — we were doing a research in Game Studies and went there to present it.
