The design plays on the dual meaning of the theme REVIVAL, the revival of St. Louis and the continual revival of traditional typefaces.
The typemark design pairs letterforms inspired by the museum’s sculptures with letterforms inspired by Geoffrey Tory’s type diagrams.
The grid motif references the industrial city as well as the letter anatomy diagrams.
