My objective is to create spaces that will allow viewers to immerse into the unknown. I am interested in how distortion affects how we analyze subjects, it indulged me to be in control of dismantling the definition of reality. As a result, I also communicate with my process the advantages of working consciously and unconsciously even though most people can not see those steps, is a form of connection between my instincts and my knowledge.
The pictures were produced in my dorm with a lighting kit and a small painting that I made as a background. I decided to create an unusual space in Adobe Photoshop with the transform tool by distorting the model’s body, facial features, the painting, and adding a black flat background. I edited the lighting, exposure, and changed the color of the model’s hair and the color of his eye. For one of the pictures, I grabbed another focused picture of his hand and paste it on top of another one to demonstrate another dimension with the glass.
