I created this series of illustrations as color studies, I was attempting to create bold appealing pallets that I wouldn't have otherwise explored. These pieces were originally pen doodles I did in my sketchbook, I liked the freeform nature of them and wanted to create something more finished from them. I found thinking of them as doodles a good way to keep the stakes low and not worry too much about them being perfect.
