_INTRODUCTION
In Synchronizer, you are the guardian of the matrix, awakened to accomplish your mission. Countless cyber viruses have mysteriously appeared to corrupt this world, and it is up to you to pacify them.
_THE PROJECT
Based on the die and retry genre, Synchronizer is a rhythm/platformer game in a retro futuristic universe. Play as a warrior with tenfold abilities, whose mission is to fight the threats introduced into the matrix and discover their origin.
The project was developed in 4 months with a team of designers, programmers, concept and 3D artists.

_GAME DESIGN
Rhythm is at the heart of our game design's intentions. We wanted to make it essential to win the fight, rewarding players who succeed in synchronizing themselves with the musical beats.
It is by synchronizing with the rhythm that you will be able to defeat your opponents, who are also subject to the rhythm of the matrix.
So, what's your weapon? The answer is the matrix ring itself. Once restored, you can directly attack the digital monster that stand in front of you.
_INFESTR
INFESTR is the boss designed for our vertical slice.
This one is divided into 3 phases, each adding new attacks and patterns making each phase more difficult than the previous one. To defeat it, you will need to access its core and make a pattern with your dashes, inflicting massive damage.
Once the boss is defeated, you have access to new, more spectacular and powerful bosses to face.
_GAME ART
From the beginning, we were strongly inspired by the retrofuturistic aesthetics and the synthwave musical style. We chose to mix them together to create something new and unique.
During the project, I was in charge of the artistic part of the game, the visual identity and the cohesion of the universe with the gameplay mechanics. I created all boss's animations, visual effects, lighting, post processing, staging, user interfaces as well as the various visual feedbacks in game.

In terms of UX, I created the visual elements that helps players understand the action and feedback during the game through specific color codes and shapes related to the visual identity.
_ART TEAM
I also had the opportunity to collaborate with a great team of concept and 3D artists, to define the artistic direction, the boss and the main character look. In addition, we worked with an external compositor to make the main theme of the game and all sound effects.
