Theseus and the Minotaur

Theseus and The Minotaur
The goal of the project was to select a 3 dimensional object, and then produce it in 2 dimensions using a singular shading technique (stippling, hatch, cross hatch, scribbles, etc. to render it.
After sketching a few different artifacts and experimenting with shading techniques I settled upon a sculpture of Theseus slaying the Minotaur as my subject, and hatching (using different intervals of space between parallel lines to produce darker and lighter areas) as my shading technique.
The final piece was drawn on an 18" x 24" heavy weight piece of art paper using a felt tip pen.
