Explorations of Symmetry

Embodying symmetrical balance has often been regarded as the same as attaining beauty and perfection. But even so, the breaking of symmetry immediately attracts our attention with its rebellious charisma. The state of symmetry appears in a variety of forms. Repetition of the same object or image evokes an inherent symmetry in its entirety. Duality by the condition of being a whole of two parts is symmetrical in either  its harmony or opposition. The human body, nature, construction, geometry, chemistry and countless other entities involve symmetry; whether they prescribe to the formulaic perfection or act against it in asymmetry. It questions the ideas and perceptions of beauty, perfection, nature and the man-made, and how they interact.
