For this project, I created three Public Service Announcement posters on the topic of saving the bees. After exploring many concepts, I decided to take the idea of superhero bees and design posters with a retro, comic book feel. I did a lot of research of the stylistic elements of 1950s comic book covers as well as facts on the crucial role bees play on our planet's ecological wellbeing.

Some of the retro comic book cover elements I found and emulated in my own poster designs were the use of a limited color palette of muted primary colors. I also found lots of hand drawn elements of course as well as a precise typographical hierarchy that helped guide the viewer's eye around the many textual details. There was also many covers with playful mis-alignment and slanted elements.
This was an incredibly fun campaign to design. I hope you enjoy it!
