2 ROCS is an indie game company developing original titles and accessories for 5E Dungeons and Dragons that can help new players feel more comfortable playing. Their first products are planned to launch in Q3 2019 including the following card sets: Spells & Cantrips, Beast Forms, and Potions & Liquids.
The 2 ROCS logo was inspired by stained glass windows and mono line illustrations. Our intentions was to take something that felt modern and established, but also as if it had antiquity. The remaining images will show how this mark's aesthetic spilled over into various border styles, illustrations, and so much more.
Each card set has a unique illustration that I developed and is not only intended to help spur imagination, but also help serve as an easy to use reference to keep the game moving forward and remove unneeded pauses.
Spells & Cantrips
The Spells & Cantrips cards come in two styles, Lawful and Chaotic. This references the famous alignment system utilized in Dungeons and Dragons. Play with which ever theme reflects your character the best.
This set's illustrations are based of many Renaissance paintings that I thought matched the stained glass aesthetic in the logo. Even though the illustration style was very important to everyone, presenting the data in a way that is easy to understand and reference while playing Dungeons and Dragons was ultimately the most important part of this set.
Beast Form Cards
Sometimes all the shape shifting options a druid has to pick from can be overwhelming. These cards are an easy way to quickly search through your options and get the best pick for your current situation.
Potions & Liquids
Potions & Liquids is intended for your DM to be able to physically hand an item to the player when they are looting a chest or bartering at a shop. The illustrations will hopefully inspire imagination and help players build a scene in their minds.
Potions & Liquids will be the first pack to be released and will include 40 different cards that will aid players in not only keeping track of what they have in their inventory, but also help them know how to use it and get an idea of what it could look like.
