ACTIVITY REPORT 2018
New Activity Report 2018-19 of the Assembly of European Regions (AER). Following on from the previous year's edition, a circular data visualisation on the cover illustrates member regions of AER through numbers. Still in a sober and aerial fashion that conveys serenity, this year's report plays with the idea of continuous cycles and orbital motions to interpret the underlying theme of "A More Sustainable Europe".

The front cover represents member regions and their data in a way that conveys unity and strength.
We intended to stir up the reader's curiosity by giving a two-step approach in decoding the cover. Front cover: the data visualisation, inside: the caption. The idea here is to compel the audience to pick up the report and open it in order to understand. Then, each region can find its own circle in the data visualisation.

GENERATIVE DATA VISUALISATION
An interactive animated version of the data visualisation made with JavaScript. You can interact with it using the mouse scroll and keyboard arrows. This way you can twist, turn and distort the visualisation, but the regions will always stay united.
