This is the original Banner used for JC Sweet & Co. to explain how to launch a website through a series of steps. The design was created by a previous designer. The owner requested a new banner to display the same information with a blue, green, and white color scheme. The style requested was flat color with a "Candy-land theme." 

The next step was to write out the plan for text descriptions/placement and image placement.  

The initial idea was to bring the board through the numbers for each step in a wave formation. I started drawing up ideas through Illustrator and on note paper. 

Next step was making board spaces where the numbers would potentially fit.

After creating the shape of the board I added in the company colors and decided to pop out the numbers on their respective pieces. I made the font of the numbers and the word "Go" the same as the company logo's font with a stroke of 3 for visibility. The finish line was added in to suggest once the customer reaches the end, there is more after to manage and maintain for their own individual sites. 

A second font from the company logo was used in the beginning and end of the board to provide variety between the numbered spots and the board descriptions. The dotted lines and angle of perspective for each numbered spot were changed and placed in top left. The names of each step were added in and placed in text bubbles to match the white spaces. The finish line was changed to alternating stripes of green and white to fit the candy theme and resemble a peppermint stick. The board was extended after the finish line to display the steps the business would take after Post-Launch. Fireworks and the blue diamond shape of the number 9 were added to decorate the last step and to show a difference in appearance from the previous steps. The arrows from the first board were brought in and kept green. 

Dotted lines and circles were created to point out each step. Both square and rounded squares were made to test this out. 

The text bubbles were removed, the dotted lines were added in, and the rest was kept the same. 

The dotted lines did not fit with the other elements and were then changed again. 

The light blue background was brought in and placed behind the board.
