Illustrations for Gaysi Family

From May to July 2018 I was a graphic design intern at Gaysi Family, an organization that creates safe spaces for queer people in India through the stories and articles on their website and the events they host.

My assignments primarily involved digital illustration: they included creating content for social media, editorial illustrations for personal accounts and informative articles, and turning stories written by Gaysi contributors into graphic narratives. Although the content for these pieces was given to me, I was expected to interpret the text and translate it into a visual form.

I also contributed to their queer mythology collection For the Love of God in the form of a poster: Cosmoopolitan. The book was released at their Zine Bazaar in September 2018, a two-day event at which I was a volunteer.
