NaCl [salt] is a site-specific promenade performance piece loosely based on Anton Checkhov’s The Cherry Orchard. This piece captures the elusive moment when one world is about to fall apart and a new world emerges. Using salt as both a material and a thematic, NaCl creates a captivating visual narrative through the creation of environments that respond to the local cultural heritage of the host building and town.
Created and Directed by Mapped Productions.
Commissioned for INteatro International Contemporary Theatre Festival.
Produced and performed at Villa Nappi in Polverigi (Italy), (July 2014).
