Mission:
Swivan’s goal is to stimulate, cultivate, and curate creativity and art in all its forms. This will be accomplished by showcasing different cultures in our community via a contemporary multi-artistic event, integrating music, dance, art, fashion, performance art, and technology.
Keeping Austin, Austin
As the capitol of Texas, Austin is a country in its own.It is liberal, artistic and just plain nice compared to the rest of Texas. “Keep Austin Weird,” “The live music capitol of the world,” we coin these slogans but we are not fulfilling them. Austin is a technology town, a bed for creativity, a college town, it has great living conditions and is a networking hub. We hold on to our laid back mentality and we are known for our festivals. This does not mean we are a united community especially with the flood of cultures and mind sets coming our way.
Austin has a soul and Swivan is going to fire it up because as Austinites know, we all thrive in our heat. We will show the influx of the 200+ per week newbees that they are moving to a like minded community of integrated people, food, music, art and nightlife, the Austin culture.
