"Grimm Romance" is a passion project of mine. In 2018, I connected with an American author Jesse Lucas to do some sort of collaboration. We picked Webtoon as our platform to release the comic.
I pitched the idea of a Tinder date with a grimm reaper to him, and he immediately jumped on board. After planning out the first few chapters (or "episodes", as they call it on Webtoons) we scripted the first chapter:

"Panel 2: Changes to where you can see what’s on her phone and you can see deaths profile. He has “Collection professional” listed as his career
Andrea - “I wonder what kind of collections agency he works for.”
Panel 3: Can still see death’s profile on her phone but now it’s more of a close up of his profile picture. An oversized hoodie shows only a dark hole where his face should be.
Andrea - “Well that’s kind of mysterious, and I like it!”
Andrea - “I’ll send him a message”
Panel 4: Now we see death’s room as his phone dings and lights up notifying him of a new message.
Narrator - “Ding”
Death - “huh?”
Once we were done with the script, we made the character designs, and I got to work drawing the comic. The story was meant to be read in a vertical fashion, because Webtoon is a vertical web-comic-reading software, but we later adjusted the pages for printing.
The art process:
We started uploading the chapters for free on Webtoon on a bi-weekly basis: (LINK)
We started receiving feedback from our readers, and they were almost always very positive, and enthusiastic to know more about what happens in the story.
In August 2018, we published a print-edition of the first five chapters, titled "Grimm Romance : Book One" and sold it at Asus Lanka Comic Con. We managed to get our book into the hands of several prominent people, including the Ambassador to the United States of America, and the Assistant Director of the Batman Trilogy and Kingsmen movies: Chris Burgess.
