Individual Residence - Cotroceni Neighborhood

The concept at the base of this house was giving it's inhabbitants a sense of freedom in a chaotic city life.

The house had to mingle with the various styles of the neighborhood. Thus is has a slick silhouette, randered in neutral dark grey and light grey.

The point was to define rooms by using steps, glass dividers or furniture - leaving the actual space opened.
The ground floor has a more opened-to-the-public room closed by actual walls, an office that can be used as a guest room, but after which the house  unrevels; the kitchen-dinning area share a light, flowy space, with an outdoor terrace, protected by a row of trees. Lower we find a spacey living room, opening into the backyard.
The upper level - the very private area - is were the house shows it's twist.
There are two clear areas; the staircase sits at the center point from which these two areas separate - this separation is slightly pointed out by a glass prism.
The master bedroom - together with a bathroom and dressing - enjoy the vquiet view towards the backyard, from a generous balcony.
The children's quarters has two bedrooms, a bathroom and a playing area, continued up into the loft - sort of an indoor tree-house.

The areas, although not clearly separated, give you the sense of freedom, but are also suggestively separated with the help of small architectural tricks.
